Job Summary

We are looking for skilled PRODUCTION DESIGNER to lead VISUAL DEVELOPMENT ARTISTS and DESIGNERS, with a focus on completing fully animated feature films in a fast paced creative environment.

Responsibilities

• Illustrates a passion for animated feature film design work
• Able to quickly adapt designs to ever evolving story and development
• Positive, team player who works well with production crew members, including Director, Production Management and other Artists across disciplines
• Proven ability to lead art team to execute production ready artwork, maintaining a consistent style and quality level.
• Able to give consistent concise notes to artists on rough sketches, clean line art including set designs, blue prints, orthographics, schematic and plan views as needed
• Actively participates in technical and artistic problem solving
• Takes direction well and is able to integrate feedback from the Director efficiently and effectively
• Self-managing — organized with solid time management skills. Must be able to identify and meet goals. Accountable for meeting productivity expectations and deadlines
• Uses studio’s artwork management, web-based tool for assignments and review process
• Advanced understanding of fundamental design skills including composition, perspective, form and use of detail
• Strong knowledge of surface texture, anatomy, and architecture
• Able to integrate 3D previs and layout within art/design workflow.
• Solid interpersonal and communications skills

Qualifications

• Though not a requirement, candidates with additional skills in color/light and painting would be considered a strong asset
• Mid to Senior Level experience required (one or more feature film credits preferred)
• Can demonstrate a diversified portfolio.
