Job Summary
This position is for our Dallas studio.
The Commercial division is looking to expand our team with a senior CG Generalist with at least 5 years experience in Commercial and/or Feature production. The role requires a highly motivated individual who is willing to give and take creative direction – a team player with a high attention to detail and an all around problem solver.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Participate in modeling, rigging, animation, texture, lighting and compositing needs of a project.
• Work with CG Supervisor and/or CG Lead to determine what elements and or other 3D tasks might be required for a particular shot.
• Mentor junior team mentors
• Work with production manager in creating schedules and milestones.
Education and Experience Requirements
• Degree/diploma in Fine Art, Computer Graphics or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
• Must possess excellent knowledge of Maya, V-Ray, and Mental Ray.
• Requires 5 years minimum experience in Commercial and/or Feature Film production.
• Must possess excellent technical and artistic communication skills and strong understanding of the CG process
• As a generalist you should have an overall understanding of modeling, rigging, texture, animation, lighting, and compositing. Must have advanced skills in at least two of those areas.
• Must be comfortable working in all aspects of CG production.
• Match moving and camera tracking a plus.
• Advanced skills with Nuke or other node based software a plus.
• Able to multi-task and prioritize.
• Able to thrive in a high pressure, deadline oriented environment.
• Excellent Teamwork – ability to assemble and motivate teams and work effectively with others.
• A creative problem solver who is organized and critical of his or her own work.
